Magic Mouse not working on new batteries

Using my Mac Mini (2009) running OS 10.11.6 El Capitan, I also have a first generation Magic Mouse that is not moving the pointer. Having changed 2 batteries twice with brand new ones, I get the same result of green light blinking 2x, 2x, and continues when I turn it on, until I turn it off.

When using AA batteries and when it is low and needs to be changed with new AA batteries. You must use a soft cloth and clean the contact points of the AA batteries like the ➕ and ➖ where the AA battery sits and all AA batteries builds up battery residue in time. After cleaning up the ➕ and the ➖ you will have a better contact now. I use a Magic Mouse 1 and have not had a problem once and I don't use recycle AA batteries anymore and when I did use recycle AA batteries when charging it to the time for a full charge and I tested it with my AA battery tester and it had 1% percent charge left and return it back to Apple. I use Duracell AA batteries now and it is guaranteed for 10 years if in storage. I go to Costco to buy the Duracell AA batteries with a 30% off from the Costco coupon booklet.

The iPhone green light was blinking, 2 quick, stop, 2 quick stop, etc., so I turned it off and used a wired mouse instead. Then one day a friend came over and said,” Why aren’t you using the Magic Mouse?” “Because it’s not working!” And he said, “It is now. “

The apparent magic touch?!

BTW I never cleaned the contacts. It’s been fine so far, going on two weeks.

Thanks for helping! 😉
