2018 Macbook Pro 15`Inch Crackling Speakers

Hi , I know this has been posted already but i wanted to make another post because i feel like Apple needs to address this issue. For awhile i thought it was just me , well i was made too believe it was just me from Apple techs. I recently spent ALOT of money on the new 2018 MacBook Pro. I am DJ/Producer full-time and i use my laptop to prep sets and organise music. I use Rekordbox software and that is it! about 3 weeks ago i noticed while listening to music in itunes that my speakers just randomly started crackling and making a static sound. This doesnt occur all the time but happens normally about after working on the mac for 20-30 minutes. I went into apple to ask questions and i was told that it was either third party app or a dodgy time machine back up. I walked away still confused and decided to believe the guy. A week later and i was still having the same issues after updating all relevant updates/software. I went back into apple and spoke to them and pleaded that i had no clue what was going on. The were very helpful and gave me a new MacBook pro and took my old one. I decided to start this one from scratch without installing a time machine back up and after 2 days it started randomly crackling again so i put my time machine back back on and went into the apple shop again. Between visits i researched to see if ANYBODY else was having this same problem and turns out their are infact many many other people having the same issue. After resetting SMC settings and following online apple support trouble shooting tips that did not work i went back into APPLE and spoke to them and they told me there was nothing i could do until apple addressed the issue. So here i am with a $4000+ MacBook pro , faulty speakers and no clue what to do. I have always been an Apple fan but im starting to really not like them and for a premium product i would expect a premium response to an issue that is effecting me and many other people. if anybody else is having this issue , please let me know and let me know what steps you have taken to rectify this if you have. Im stuck , super lost and super confused on what i am supposed to be doing.

Apple recently released a second High Sierra update to 10.13.6 for the MacBook Pro's released in July 2018. (The first one dealt with the throttling issue.) That should be available on the App Store for those MacBooks only. It appears to have solved the issue for some of the users that have reported on it.

many colleagues of mine also have this cracking problem with their 2018 models, so far it seems the cracking sound can be solved by rebooting the system. this problem is believed to be so widespread, no patch or any sort of solution has been made by apple is totally unacceptable. it just feels ridiculous every time I'm forced to reboot the system while knowing I've paid 3k for that .

Hey everyone!

So today i picked my 2nd replacement laptop as i really took it to Apple. I was in touch with senior advisors and basically today when i went into my local apple shop i was treated really well and they gave me my new laptop and even gave me a $250 refund to apologise for everything. I took it upon myself today to start my new laptop from scratch and right now i have not heard any crackling. I am slowly but surely adding all the applications i need and sorting everything out but touching wood cause i havent heard anything yet.

If anybody wanted my advice i would strongly recommend you keep super calm and collective and express your "un satisfying taste" towards your new laptop and just see what apple says. as i said before , not sure if this is the final fix yet but im hoping to **** it is cause this has been going on since the first release of the 2018 mac book pros.

Hope this helps <3

I'm now in contact with the apple support. It seems that they have no idea jet. Apple wants to find the reason for this software issue and they told me to do some terminal stuff and I send the system diagnosis to apple today. Let see if something happens.

The last safety update 10.13.6 which I did yesterday don`t changed anything. The sound problems are horrible.

I just bought it and I have been using it for two days now. It works perfectly, but I only have two issues with it:

1. Whatever headset I use I get a cracking/ screeching sound. At first I started to doubt my headset, but then I connected them to other devices and the sound was top notch as usual. Then I figured there must be something wrong with the audio jack of my laptop. I have not tested the speaker of the MacBook or returned it to the store yet. I am hoping that it is some software issue and not hardware related.

2. I cannot play 4k/ 8k movies online, because it is not yet supported on the current MacOS (as far as I know). I hope that Apple releases an update soon at least fixing one of these issues.

I have exactly the sam problem. I have a brandnew MacBook Pro 15 (5665.- Euro) and nobody find a solution. Apple just changed my mainboard because they thought that it is maybe the audiocard on the board but nothing changed. The problem occurs after hearing music with iTunes after some while (sometimes half an hour, sometimes several hours). The problem disappears after restarting iTunes but comes back again. Because I work as a DJ too I am very bugged out because I sold my old MacBook Pro 15 fro 2011 and have no idea what to do now. I tried several things (new setup, throwing away midi drivers.....) but nothing seem to work. Help needed!!!!
