Visual Voicemail Not Working

I purchased two unlocked iPhone 7+ from the apple store. Installed StraightTalk GSM ATT&T simm cards. Both are at ios 11.4.1 now. Network is TFW and Carrier is TFW 32.0.1 and service provider is Straight Talk Wireless on both phones. Both phones are identical.


My phone has visual voicemail and it works fine, wife's will dial here number when voicemail tab is hit to check voicemail. ie no visual voicemail.


On her phone I've done everything except backing it up and doing a complete reset.


Some have said it's a carrier/service provider issue and they need to "provision" voicemail for her phone number.


Is there anyone out there that had a definitive answer as to why two identical phone with the same carrier and service provider has different voicemail?


And is there a definitive answer as to how I can get visual voicemail up and running on her iPhone?

So what did your phone carrier say when you told them your wife phone doesn't have visual voicemail, which is a carrier feature and not Apples, that is who you need to talk to resolve the issue.


That is the answer, no if and or buts about it.

Well we're dealing with StraightTalk so it depends on if you get lucky and get a customer service rep who knows what I'm actually asking for.


I am going to call this evening when I have her phone available, ask them to reset/provision her voicemail because visual voicemail is not working.


So we can advance this conversation and say it is definitely a carrier issue? Not an IPhone issue?


I will post back with the results. Holding off on the full reset for now.

to put this into context, not knowing anything about you, is the iphone your first mobile device? If no, how did you get voicemail pre-iphones?


The mere fact that she has to dial to get her voicemail, means she is not provisioned to use VVM on that phone.


I'll say it one last time visual voicemail is a carrier feature.


You can use the search function an type in visual voicemail and 99% of the answer will be the phone carrier.
