Apple TV 4K no longer controling HDMI-CEC devices

We have 4 Apple TVs in the house, 2 are 4K. All are up to date on software.

The 2 non-4K units are able to control connected devices through their HDMI connection just fine. The 2 4K units were doing this as well, until the last software update. They stopped controlling our Samsung AntNet+ TVs.

We've checked all the settings on all devices.

any ideas?
