Airpods not showing their last location

hi,

since yesterday I lost my airpods. One of my cousins hided my airpods and now I can’t find it. I used ”find my iphone” app and the app does not show my airpods last location. My airpods were fully charged (the case aswell) but they show up as “offline”. I lost my airpods inside their case. Is there a way that I can see their last location cuze I did used them before I lost them.

thanks for if u know something.

Hello FadeFaik,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I see that you have a question about locating your lost AirPods when they show as offline in the Find My iPhone app. I would be happy to help provide clarification about this behavior.

Here's a resource that helps explain what it means if your AirPods are offline:

If your AirPods are lost - Apple Support

Specifically, check out this section:

If your AirPods are offline

If you didn't turn on Find My iPhone before your AirPods went missing, you can't use it to locate your device. If you see a gray dot next to your AirPods on the map, you can't play a sound to find them but you can still get directions to the location where they were last connected. If your AirPods do come back online, you'll get a notification on the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch you use them with.

Find My iPhone is the only way that you can track or locate a lost or missing device. There is no other Apple service that can find, track, or otherwise flag your device for you.

Additionally, the AirPods may show as offline if they are off, out of battery, in their case, or out of range. Since you mentioned they were in the case when lost, I suggest periodically checking for a location in case they are removed from the case and go online.

Take care!
