why is my mac charger turning yellow ?

User uploaded fileCan I kindly get some insight into why this may be happening So I can know what course of action to take in the future. Dearest Apple many have asked this question but have not seen a response yet. If I am unaware that there exists an answer already please notify me of it, thank you. Do admirably love your products and would love to learn more about them as well to understand them in a better way. Thank you immensely in advance for your co-operation.

There is a tiny electronics module in the cord-end that does some stuff including negotiating the charge rate with the computer and responding to the computer command to turn on the green or amber LED.


That section of the cord gets hot. It may be nothing except essentially, "wear".


However, if the Magsafe end seems free to rotate around the cord, that sometimes deteriorates into a short circuit in the cable-end, which can get quite hot right before it fails.
