Method to uninstall manually .
For free version of Malwarebytes Anti -Malware for Mac .
Click on finder > Applications > right click on Malwarebytes Anti - Malware.app & move to trash , if it is in download folder , remove it from there also .
To enter in system library > click on Go > Go to folder & type /Library
Find folders :Application support > folder Malwarebytes
LaunchAgents > com.malwarebytes.mbam.frontend.agent.plist
LaunchDaemons > com.malwarebytes.mbam.rtprotection.daemon.plist
com.malwarebytes.mbam.settings.daemon.plist
To enter in user library > click on Go > Go to folder & type ~/Library
Find folders : Application support > com.malwarebytes.mbam.frontend.agent
com.malwarebytes.mbam.frontend.application
Caches > com.malwarebytes.mbam.frontend.agent
Right click on these items inside the folders and move to trash .
Restart the computer & empty the trash .
Note : While deleting the items it might prompt to enter the admin name and password .
I just ran Etrecheck, and found:
Kernel Extensions
Container: /Library/Extensions
Extension: MB_MBAM_Protection.kext
Label: com.malwarebytes.mbam.rtprotection
Version: 3.3 - SDK 10.13
Author: Malwarebytes Corporation
Status: Loaded
And, Malwarebytes' "M" logo is still at the top of my Macbook Safari scree. To the left of the "how much battery left" percentage number. If I try to select any of the options available by clicking on that logo, none of them result in anything. None are "live" or "active" or available.

It sounds like you dragged the app to the trash, but did not actually use the proper method for uninstalling it. For information on how to proceed from there, see:

Hi,
FYI:
There was nothing present here for me to remove:
Click on finder > Applications > right click on Malwarebytes Anti - Malware.app & move to trash , if it is in download folder , remove it from there also
But, everything else you mentioned/suggested I was able to find, and removed as instructed.
Emptied Trash, and Rebooted.
The "M" logo is now gone from the top of my Safari page.
I bet this will fix my issue. Thank you, appreciate it.

Be aware that uninstalling manually is neither necessary nor advisable, since there are official methods provided by Malwarebytes for doing so that will uninstall completely.
In this case, these manual removal instructions are quite incomplete, and will leave components of the software behind.
Welcome ! , some users don't use uninstaller button or search a different method for removing any third party apps , so they enter in system library and user library , search the contents of the app from folders and delete to trash , restart the Mac and empty the trash .
It depends upon the user to search it correctly and remove them .
Did you use the built-in uninstall feature? If not you may have to reinstall and then uninstall using the uninstall feature.
Yes, I used the built in uninstall, and, then, I also had to delete it from Activity Monitor. But, it still isn't fully gone.
Try installing the program again and then use the above uninstall instructions.
Thank you. I can't even remember how I deinstalled it!!?? (It was a while ago.)
Malwarebytes did not completely uninstall.
