Finding duplicates in my iTunes library

When I click on Show Duplicate Items in the Library tab in iTunes, it lists some duplicates. But it doesn't show all the duplicates in my library. I continue to run into duplicates as I'm listening to and searching through my iTunes library. Most of these are from songs I have uploaded to my iTunes library. Sometimes I've simply loaded the same song twice and sometimes it's because the same song is on more than one CD. Any suggestions on how to root out all the duplicates would be greatly appreciated. george

If you use Show Duplicates > Same Album you will see all tracks that have matching metadata for album artist, artist, album, name, disc no., and track no. The same song can appear on different albums, either in different versions or with exactly the same audio content, and not be considered as a duplicate. Sometimes you might have true duplicates that don't show in the list because of discrepancies in the metadata. See Dupin or Dupin Lite at Doug's AppleScripts for iTunes for possible tools to deduplicate your library.
