This might help someone.

Some time ago on my iPad I deleted the Drudge Report and could not find it in the App Store.

As to why the Drudge Report is not there, no one knows for sure. It is most likely that Drudge pulled it himself. That is not a certainty. I check daily to see if anyone has real proof as to what actually happened.

Yesterday I did a restore on my iPad. I was able to get the Drudge Report back by going to the App Store and retrieving it under products "purchased".

Apple is not censoring anything because they are not preventing you from accessing the information you desire. Period. "Freedom of speech" does not mean that a private company is required to provide the Drudge Report, Democracy Now or HuffPo with a platform. All indications are that the respective purveyors (Drudge and Breitbart) pulled their own apps. Apple is not preventing Drudge or Breitbart from decimating information any more than Walmart is censoring Playboy (or similar) by refusing to sell that publication in their stores.

And yes, you can get Breitbart through the Apple News app.

So rather than a bunch of swearing, does anyone have an answer?

Have you read the thread? There have been a number of suggestions. But, as neither Apple nor Drudge are participants in this thread, there can be definitive answers. If you wish to pursue the matter, I suggest you contact Drudge. To date, I haven't heard that they've responded to anyone who has asked this question (which lends support to the theory that it was not Apple who removed the app) but, you might get lucky.

There have also been suggestions for alternatives:

It's easily accessible with Safari. Book mark it and add the bookmark as an icon to your home screen:

And

download “the report” app. It’s a conservative news app which you can read drudge on

No one here can even make a wild guess, and anyone who knows is most likely under NDA. In other threads people have said they asked Drudge and did not get a answer. Maybe Drudge did not want to pay to update it to iOS 11. Maybe the contractor who wrote the app (it’s unlikely that anyone who worked for Drudge wrote it) wanted too much money to continue to maintain it. As it required maintaining a database to support it, maybe that became too onerous or too costly. Or maybe Apple discovered it was stealing user data and pulled it. That’s happened with many apps in the past, and it would be a reason Drudge doesn’t want to respond.

But you can still visit the Drudge website with Safari, so you haven’t lost access to Drudge.

Now why would Drudge cut off that many viewers, Apple not replying says it all

The fact that Apple isn't replying here only tells you that Apple told the truth in the Terms and Conditions that you agreed to when you registered. This is a user-to-user forum. Apple's participation here is minimal. If you want to discuss the matter with Apple directly, you can use the contact support link at the top right of every page of these forums.

There could be lots of reasons the Drudge Report decided to discontinue the app. Was the app ad or subscription supported? If not, it may have actually cost them money. If the actual website is ad supported, why would they want to encourage people to access their content but not see the adds. Perhaps they parted ways with their app developer and haven't found a new one.
