I did not make a "freedom of speech" arguement. No one is arguing a constitutional violation...except you. My statement was very "free market." I simply stated that this would be my last iPhone as a result. As to your claim that Breitbart and Drudge pulled their own apps....misinformed or foolish. Take you pick. There are dozens of news articles about Apple pulling Breitbart's app and the Drudge purge is too new.

Finally, of course apple is not preventing Drudge from doing business. Once again you are arguing against a point no one made.

Of course it's not a constitutional violation as Apple is not part of the U.S. government. Perhaps you failed to see the quotations around the phrase "freedom of speech" in my response. And, if we're talking "free market" (something that should also be in quotes in the U.S., by the way), then Apple's not doing anything wrong.

No one here is particularly concerned with what type of phone you chose to buy in the future.

Best of luck.

This thread is now two months old, and for two months not a word from Drudge. If they were being "censored" do you think they'd be quiet about it? Is that their form? The obvious answer here is that they are not being censored because - months later - they haven't said a peep. All that happens is every now and then another one comes along making threats to never buy another Apple product. So, don't.

No one here can even make a wild guess, and anyone who knows is most likely under NDA. In other threads people have said they asked Drudge and did not get a answer. Maybe Drudge did not want to pay to update it to iOS 11. Maybe the contractor who wrote the app (it’s unlikely that anyone who worked for Drudge wrote it) wanted too much money to continue to maintain it. As it required maintaining a database to support it, maybe that became too onerous or too costly. Or maybe Apple discovered it was stealing user data and pulled it. That’s happened with many apps in the past, and it would be a reason Drudge doesn’t want to respond.

But you can still visit the Drudge website with Safari, so you haven’t lost access to Drudge.

There are a few apps that are no longer showing up in the App Store. Two that I have on my older iPhone are “Drudge Report” and the other is BreitHedge”. (Because I Like zeroHedge). They are still active on my iPhone 6 but are not available in the App Store with the new XS Max. I doubt the apps aren’t backward compatible as they are just scrappers so I would point to Apple and censorship. Just accept it as they won’t adjust their viewpoints for you (or you can change product)

How could it possibly be that Apple is censoring? You can still go to those sites using Safari. They haven't blocked it in the browser. If they wanted to censor anything they would block the website.

I suggest reading the thread you posted to. All evidence points to the fact that Drudge removed the app. If Apple had deleted it don't you think that Matt Drudge would have screamed to high heaven? He isn't shy, you know.

Apple does not remove apps based on their content. They DO remove apps that violate Apple's security guidelines, such as apps that steal user data from the phone and sell it or use it for unsavory purposes. So it's possible that the Drudge app was stealing your data, and Apple caught them. Which would be another reason that Mr. Drudge was quiet about it. But I think it's more likely that Drudge removed the app rather than pay their outside developer to update it.

This might help someone.

Some time ago on my iPad I deleted the Drudge Report and could not find it in the App Store.

As to why the Drudge Report is not there, no one knows for sure. It is most likely that Drudge pulled it himself. That is not a certainty. I check daily to see if anyone has real proof as to what actually happened.

Yesterday I did a restore on my iPad. I was able to get the Drudge Report back by going to the App Store and retrieving it under products "purchased".

Millions enjoy the Drudge Report and it is no longer available on the App Store. One would think that Drudge would publicly protest if they were censored, and to my knowledge that has not happened. I do not know why this app was removed, but I check daily to see if anyone has found the true reason for its unavailability. Drudge is not responsive. I believe this forum {with all its brilliant people} is the best place to solve this mystery.

Now why would Drudge cut off that many viewers, Apple not replying says it all

The fact that Apple isn't replying here only tells you that Apple told the truth in the Terms and Conditions that you agreed to when you registered. This is a user-to-user forum. Apple's participation here is minimal. If you want to discuss the matter with Apple directly, you can use the contact support link at the top right of every page of these forums.

There could be lots of reasons the Drudge Report decided to discontinue the app. Was the app ad or subscription supported? If not, it may have actually cost them money. If the actual website is ad supported, why would they want to encourage people to access their content but not see the adds. Perhaps they parted ways with their app developer and haven't found a new one.

Drudge report is gone from the app store and the app is not working now so *** is going on apple?
