Hello - I am considering purchasing the new Apple TV 4K. I do NOT own a 4K TV - I have a 10 year-old 70" Plasma TV with a beautiful picture quality.
Just wondering if I will have a picture quality problem using my TV with this device. I will be using the HDMI connection.
Looking for feedback before I buy....
It will work, however if you don't plan on getting a 4K TV its best to go with the 4th Gen as you won't really get any benefit from the current model.
I hear ya, vazandrew - I just figured for the extra $30 it made sense to get the 4K version in case I get a new TV or move it to one of my other rooms. I'll probably just decide at the last minute when I get to the store LOL.

Not at all, it will just push 1080p instead of 4k video to your TV.
