No, we found out, it's all on Drudge. Go ask him yourself., You can even get to his site and email him with Apple products built into macOS.
Probably because Apple didn't delete the app. So they have nothing to explain. Now I realize that Matt Drudge is such a shy, reticent kind of guy who wouldn't think of stirring up trouble, so if Apple had removed his app from the app store it would never occur to him to complain about it to his audience. Oh, wait...
The fact is that Drudge hasn't said a word about it in the 8 months since it has been gone. I can only think of two logical possibilities:
- Drudge removed it.
- Apple caught the app stealing user data.
Even when asked directly, Drudge has ignored the question. So I would lean towards the 2nd possibility. However, for the first possibility, last June drudgereport.com was completely redesigned to make it "responsive" - that is, have it dynamically adapt to the type of device it is displayed on. It's really rather attractive now, whether viewed on a computer, a smartphone or a tablet. And each view is different and optimized for the device it is viewed on. So it's likely that PTB at Drudge decided they didn't need a separate app that they would have to continue paying for and supporting.
What you can do to access the Drudge Report is to go to https://drudgereport.com in the Safari (or other) browser on your phone. And if you use Safari you can even save the link as a "favorite" with its own icon on your Home screen, just as if it was an app.
thank you for using the volunteer Apple discussion forums. If you need assistance see this link
Just moved to new iPhone from Samsung Note 9.... much, much better, especially Siri ! Much to my disappointment this left wing outfit deleted the Drudge Report App... but this site provided a very simple solution... thx.
BTW, I find extremely disturbing that Cook is "cooking" the Apple. Cook wouldn't release the killer's iPhone to the FBI after the San Bernardino killings but readily released Roger Stone's iCloud files to the FBI a few days ago.
If the phone wasn't so good, I destroy it right now!
Have FACTS gone totally out of fashion, or do you just choose to ignore the facts that disprove your prejudices?
No, no! The definition of "facts" has been changed to "whatever supports my point of view". Keep up, Lawrence!

AKA "alternative facts"....

Why do posters insist that they know why the app was removed? What we do know is that the app is not there and {to our knowledge} Drudge has not complained. And that is that is hardly conclusive proof of anything. I would like to know the truth, and I think this forum is the best place to find it.
More than 5,000 users have checked out this thread so obviously it is of great interest. This is the Apple Community. I do not know if we will ever have a definitive answer, but what better place to find an answer to the question?
Lots of possibilities, but no proof.
And I disagree. I do think we will eventually have a definitive answer.
Time will tell.
Apple is lying. Drudge was dropped by apple. They censured me when I objected. They are the bad guy here. Not drudge.
How can Apple be lying if they have never made a statement about the issue. Your post would have been removed because you violated the Terms of Use to which you agreed when you joined this forum. Are you not a person of your word? Or did you lie when you agreed to those terms?
By the way, "censured" and "censored" do not mean the same thing.
First the content of the app disappeared. It became ads and said to use browser. So I deleted the app and was going to reinstall.
Was shocked to see there was no app. It was working on Friday now it’s gone. Not a happy camper. What’s going on? Waiting for Drudge to let us know. After reading these posts, I’m betting that’s not going to happen.
I guess if it was the Huff Post app or NYtimes you would rioting in the streets.......
The Huffington Post is drivel, regardless of its political slant. And, those of us who are inclined to read the New York Times are most likely aware that it's accessible through any web browser so that if NYT pulled the app, we could continue reading and wouldn't need to become hysterical and turn it into some ridiculous conspiracy.
of course Apple is not stupid. It is about PC culture.
Apple has removed hundreds of apps from istore and affiliates they feel is not ok for us to see.
"PC culture" only exists in the minds of people with a very limited view of the world.
Ask Matt Drudge, and follow up with him or find another forum to state your argument but this is not the forum to do that.
Your question has been asked and answered to the best of the volunteers on this forum. Further discourse would very likely violate the Terms of Agreement we all agreed to when we signed up to use this forum.
Thank you for using the Apple Discussions Forum.
It would be even more concerning if the US Government decides to take away the rights of private companies to protect their employees in violation of the United States National Labor Relations Act of 1935, but this is not the case.
If you wish to look into this on your own time, but this forum is not for political discourse. See the terms you agreed to when you signed up to use this forum.

My app stopped working today.
I thought I'd never see free speech squashed in America. Joseph Goebbels is alive and well, working at APPLE.
Give me a "right on man" if you're a child of he 60's and see the oppression.
You've asked, and we've answered and clearly you have no intention to do much more than derail this forum because you think you have an audience.
The volunteers here are not psychologists, neurologists or pharmacologists and can not diagnose medial conditions over the internet. If you need psychiatric help (please read this sentence again and this time omit the "if") contact your health provider. If you do not have a health provider or can not afford one then thats not our problem either.
What happened to the Drudge Report App?
