it would be very disconcerting if Apple were trying to suppress freedom of speech. I hope this is not the case.

It is extremely disconcerting to find that people have no idea what "Freedom of speech" actually means. Please get out your copy of the US Constitution (if you don't have it you can find it online) and read the First Amendment. You will note that all it says about Freedom of Speech is that Congress can make no law abridging the freedom of speech. Amazingly, it does not mention what Apple or any other corporation can do. Here, for your convenience: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution

If you read it carefully you will find the present administration is in violation of the First Amendment with several of its actions.

That aside, open your Apple device (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Mac, etc), launch the Safari browser, and enter http://drudgereport.com. Does it appear? If it does then Apple is not suppressing anything.

You don't get it. APPLE DID NOT PULL THE APP. DRUDGE DID. If you had bothered to read the thread you would know that. That was my reference to jumping in with both feet. You reached a conclusion based on NO INFORMATION. I realize that is the way of the world these days, but I keep hoping that there are a few people left in the world who are rational. I am disappointed at every turn.

Oh, and BTW, it's perfectly OK with you that Matt Drudge preaches to you constantly. At least be consistent.

You are not going to find out in this forum; it is only users here, and there don't appear to be any users who know why the Drudge report is no longer in the app store. You can try asking Drudge, but others have, to no avail. Drudge apparently doesn't want you to know why. Or is pulling your chain in the hope of creating a conspiracy theory. The one thing I am absolutely certain of is that if Apple had removed the app Matt Drudge would be screaming "CENSORSHIP" and "LEFT WING CONSPIRACY" to high heaven. As he hasn't, it wasn't because Apple removed it.

More than 25,000 users have checked out just two of the many questions as to what became of the Drudge report and why it is not available on the App Store. The preponderance of evidence would be that it was pulled by Drudge. Hopefully the actual reason will be revealed and revealed in this forum.

This is a technical issue; Drudge is not available for whatever reason.

This is not speculation about an unannounced product.

This is probably not about Apple policies but searches for the reason that Drudge may have pulled the app.

Users should refrain from violating Apple policies.

I appreciate this forum as a means to learn the truth.

Censorship is not a good think

It is possible to get a definitive answer on this forum. Apple almost certainly will not comment and I was not able to get a response from Drudge. I do not know what the future will hold. If a poster provides proof there will be proof, although I do not know what proof may be presented.

By your logic nothing is ever provable. There is a reason why the Drudge Report was taken off the app store, and most likely it was done by Drudge. I have no desire to debate anything and a lot of these posts have become tiresome. I hope only to have an honest answer to a valid question.
