Cannot remove a member of a group text

I am using iPhone 6 Plus. I have a group text with 10 people. I need to remove one of them. When I click on the "i" (Info icon), every time I try to slide the member's name from right to left (or vice-versa), their Contact page opens, but no option to delete them from the group.

What do I need to do to delete this person from the group, or barring that, how can I delete the group?
