Quicktime player freezes with audio still playing

So, I downloaded a stream from mixer and when I try to play it in quicktime player, it works for a few seconds then the video freezes with the audio still playing. When I select different parts of the video, the audio plays from that part but the video still shows the place where the video freezes.
