Hello trent173,

Thanks for the reply and for giving additional information about your problem!

It seems like Move to iOS isn't able to properly transfer data from your Samsung Galaxy S8+ to your new iPhone.

Let's try clearing app cache the Move to iOS app:

1. Open Settings;

2. Go to the Apps tab;

3. Tap on Move to iOS;

4. Tap on Clear Cache;

Try again and if the problem persists try uninstalling and reinstalling Move to iOS.

If not even this works try contacting Apple Support:Contact - Official Apple Support or send feedback to Apple about this problem on this website: Product Feedback - Apple .

I hope this helps and thanks for using Apple Support Communities!

Hello

I followed everything listed it didn’t work same issue.

All the text messages are out of order and when turn phone off and backcourt on next morning all the text messages 30000 of them come through at the exact same time like 6am for example

It appears the data transfer is failed or corrupt have tried this 3 or 4 times now same result.

Hey trent173,

It seems like Move to iOS wasn't able to extract all data necessary to order your photos and messages appropriately.

First let's check if the Move to iOS app has all the permissions needed to export data from your Samsung Galaxy S8:

1.Open Settings;

2.Go to the Apps tab;

3.Tap on the Move to iOS app;

4.Tap on Permissions;

4.Make sure the Storage and SMS toggles are on.

Also make sure that your Samsung Galaxy S8 has the latest software available and the Move to iOS app is updated.

It's also recommended to turn off other apps, services or devices that use the Wi-Fi connection to make sure problems don't occur during the transfer process.

If you receive a call during the process or you use another app the content might not be transfered properly.

Make sure both devices have the screen turned on during the process.

Turn off cellular data on your Android device before starting the process.

If you want to try again the transfer process you will need to reset your iPhone first. If you have any data on your new iPhone 8 Plus make sure to backup your device using either iCloud or iTunes.

After that follow these steps:

1.Open Settings (on your iPhone);

2.Go to General;

3.Tap on Reset;

4.Tap on Reset All Settings.

You may need to enter your passcode if you have one.
