Alexa App keeps crashing

My Alexa app keeps crashing. Yes, I have done all the recommended suggestions 6 times such as, Uninstall & reinstall, Power off & back on, as well as a hard reboot. App still always crashes at some point during use. Sometimes, it will allow me to get just a bit further using it, but always crashes at some point. Very frustrating. Any other suggestions on how to cure this. No other app I use ever crashes except this one. Yes, I am on the recent IOS, as well as the latest update for the Alexa app. Please help.

Let me suggest a 7th try:


If you just delete and reinstall without restarting the phone the reinstalled app "inherits" the data from the just deleted app. If app data was corrupted the problem will not be resolved.

There have been over 1 billion iPhones sold. The probability of only one person having any given problem is zero. So I'm absolutely sure that someone else has had the same problem, but if they did, they didn't report it here.


Whether or not someone else had the problem, the only ones who can fix it is Amazon. Why don't you try contacting Amazon's tech support?

No way to reach the app developer. I tried that suggestion from the Apple web site. When going to the App support link from the app in the app store, all it provides is a link to how to use the app and faq's. There is no link to ask a question to the actual developer. Very frustrating. I can't be the only one having this same issue.

Lawrence, thanks again for your additional suggestion. I was able to log in with another Amazon account, but again it crashed. At this point, probably best to wait and see if Amazon support is able to reach the actual app developer and see if they can help. I'll post an update at that time. Thank you again. If you can think of anything else between now and then, please let me know. Your suggestions have been keen in terms of ideas that are not suggested elsewhere, specifically rebooting the phone after deleting the app, before reinstalling. I was also hoping the suggestion of rebooting my router from Amazon support would be fruitful, but to no avail. Good ideas, just hasn't worked. Thanks again for your time.
