File disappeared from ICloud Drive

I saved an Excel file to my iCloud drive on my PC (win10) then when tried to open it few hours later the shortcut says... “the item that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly.”

The file is not in any temp files, not in recycle bin, it’s just disappeared. Any ideas how I can find or recover it?

Lost Access to Excel File I have spent over 15hrs developing an Excel workbook on my Windows PC. I noticed today that it had not yet synced to iCloud. So, I thought I would force it by choosing "Free up space" so it would only be in iCloud. Ever since I did that I am unable to access the file and it still does not appear in iCloud. I have tried everything I know of. Rebooted. Shut down iCloud from Task menu. Tried to access on PC w/o iCloud running, etc. I just created a new test file and it is also not syncing. The issue seems to be with files originating in Windows. I have not yet experienced an issue with files originating on Mac. ICloud version is 14.1. Windows version is 11. This is extremely frustrating and I really do not want to have to re-do 15hrs of work.

Missing file from my iCloud Drive A GraphPad file which I am working on it almost every day, today suddenly I can not find it on my iCloud Drive... I saw it only in my PC quick access files but unable to open it because it says that the file moved or deleted, though I never deleted it or moved it.. I am really shocked about this. its an important file for me contains most of my recent work.. please anyone can help me to restore it. THANK YOU

File lost iCloud drive Can anybody help me with retrieving a missing Excel spreadsheet? I had it saved on the iCloud drive and last used it on the 26th of August. Now I can't find it and the recently used shortcut doesn't work as the file is not where it was last time. I have searched my whole computer for this file by name. There are no files in recovery and I can't find any temp files. Appreciate the help Torb
