File lost iCloud drive

Can anybody help me with retrieving a missing Excel spreadsheet?

I had it saved on the iCloud drive and last used it on the 26th of August. Now I can't find it and the recently used shortcut doesn't work as the file is not where it was last time.

I have searched my whole computer for this file by name. There are no files in recovery and I can't find any temp files.

Appreciate the help

This has now been fixed by Apple support.

In case anybody reads this and have the same problem this is how we retrieved my missing file.

  1. Open icloud.com
  2. Log in
  3. Next to your name in the top right hand corner of the window click on the down arrow
  4. Select iCloud Settings
  5. Under Advanced, click Restore Files
  6. Done


The support that Apple provides is outstanding.
