Spacing between paragraphs?

I don’t want the return key to create a double space. How do I set up a single space between paragraphs?

What you are looking for is Space Before/After Paragraph which is in Pages for Mac but appears to be missing in Pages for iOS.

Where did this document originate from?

It sounds like it came from a Mac version and has had the Before/After included in the Paragraph Style.

You will need to edit the Style on a Mac to remove the Space Before/After, then reopen it on your iPad.

Thanks for your response. I see now that I should have been clearer: I’m using Pages on an iPad Pro, iOS 11.4. I highlighted the text and clicked to upon the format sidebar, but there is no STYLE button. Is there any way to do this in iOS?

Thanks, I do see the line spacing, but that’s not quite what I’m looking for. I want to have a single-space between paragraphs; right now when I hit RETURN on the keyboard I get double-spacing. I want to be able to start a new paragraph single-spaced from the first one.

Thank you for following up and providing more information. See if the steps below help with your iPad:

Adjust the space between lines

Tap in a paragraph, or select text, a text box, or a shape with text.

Tap (then tap Text if you selected a text box or shape).

Tap a Line Spacing button to decrease or increase the space between lines.
