iPhone 8 dead!!

My ~6 month old iPhone8, suddenly stopped working.

I remember using the mail app on the phone, and put it down. 5 mins later i pick it up and the phone is off.

Tried hard restart, on luck. tried all key combos to put it in recovery mode, no luck with it.


Anyone else faced such issue?

Hi

Try a reboot press the side volume button up quickly then side volume button down quickly then hold the power button down until you see apple logo.

If that doesn't work.

Make sure your pc is running the latest iTunes 12.7.5 or later.

Connect lead to USB on your pc Press just the power button down on iPhone don't let go Connect lead to iPhone keep power button pressed down until pc sees iPhone Then wait for restore you may need to do this more than once Before it works.

If it doesn't work make an appointment at Apple store.

Got a call from the Apple service centre, saying the device was ready.

Upon reaching there, they informed me the entire phone has been replaced as they couldn't figure out what was the issue with the older one.

Also, there were many other customers with iPhone8/8+ which had same issue in the service centre.

Now I am thinking of getting the AppleCare for iPhone, after seeing so many failed devices.


What do you guys think?

Just came back from the Apple service provider.

The service person couldn't figure out what the issue might be with the device, and asked me to submit the phone for a checkup.

It seems the phone will be sent to a Apple certified repair centre, where they will check the phone if it can be repaired.

I am given a wait time of 6 days, within which they, communicate the status.

Hoping for the best!!
