Suddenly my favorites have disappeared, when I open my MacBook?
This is what it suddenly looks like
To get them back I have to open "The Apple" and then "Recent items" then "Safari.app"

What happened
MacBook Pro, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)
Now it works š
I opened Safari
Clicked view
Clicked show favorites bar - and VOILA!
Heaven knows, how it suddenly disappeared.
Iām SO happy it now is, as it should be.

Please send me a screen shot, so I can see where to click, as I can't locate the "Hide / Show Sidebar"

āOr from your Safari menu bar click View > Show Sidebarā. Iām not interested in the sidebar, but in the bar below the menu bar.
In Safari click the Hide / Show Sidebar icon top left in your Safari window.
Try: Shift + Command + L
Or from your Safari menu bar click View > Show Sidebar
