Box icon in email

While reading an email on my iPad, I went to click the “folder icon” to put the email in a folder but accidently clicked the icon to the right of the folder icon. (it looks like a ”folder box”). And now I have no idea how to get the email back to put in the correct folder. (I have a gmail account).
