RAW is not imported

Hi,

I've Problems to import RAW Files into the Fotos.App. The RAW isn't in the fotos app after import.

I'm using a Canon EOS M100 and put the SD Card into the SD Card Reader from my MacBook 13" 2013 (High Sierra). After opening the fotos.app i open the SD Card on left side in "Devices".

In the import window i can see the small "J" in the picture. I click some pictures and then "import selected". After this i switch to the selected folder and now i just can find a JPG. There is no RAW File. Also when i start the edit mode, i can't switch to RAW.

How do i import RAW files also? They are stored as CR2 on the SD Card. When i double click on a cr2 file in finder it opens in gimp. Preview is also able to show the cr2.

A bit Strange: When i save the cr2 on the desktop and try to import the file, fotos tell me that there is still the same file present?!

Best Regards

Manuel

Thanks, but as described "Also when i start the edit mode, i can't switch to RAW." i wasn't able to set this parameter.

But recently i "solved" the issue. There was a running image upload in the fotos.app.

The macbook was hanging during a large image upload (over 400 images). After everything was finished i was able to change to RAW.

So it seems that the macbook only allows the local switching between RAM & JPEG only after uploading the RAW files into the cloud.

This really make no sense for me because i'm working local and raw / jgep are local. But however, as a workarround you can say "just wait for the upload is finished".

Thanks

Manuel
