Numbers Formula "edate"

User uploaded file


I would like the selected cell in the image to be "the date in G2" plus 6 days.


For example if I were to enter 1st December in G2...then J2 would have 7th December"


I'd tried to work it out....but I can't haha

Agree +"6d" works well and is less ambiguous in the Numbers environment. It's easy to get the placement of the "" wrong, though. Also keep in mind that +"6d" doesn't work in Excel, whereas +6 does.

I suggest entering dates only in formats show in the cell formatter for dates.


Assuming you enter a valid date (that is... it's in the correct format) then you can simply add 6 days using the formula:

=G2+"6d"

the cell formatter is available by selecting the cell(s), then clicking the segment "Format" at the top-right:
