Does anyone know how to locate the messages icon
my messages icon has disappeared off my home screen. I have searched for it and it’s there but I can’t locate the icon to put it back on the home screen

Do a spotlight search, swipe down from the middle of a home screen to get to the search field and type Messages in at the top. If it is hidden in a folder, the name of the folder will appear to the right.
Swipe from screen to screen to look for it.
Settings>General>Reset>Reset home screen layout will return the app to the home screen. It will return the home screen to out of the box condition as well.
