I've been getting frustrated with Apple Music on my iPhone 6S, as albums and playlists won't play in order and just shuffle instead. This didn't use to be an issue but I suspect that upgrading to iOS 11.4.1 may have caused the problem.
I've also noticed that the shuffle button won't turn red when activated, so it looks like it's a software bug.
Has anyone else had this problem/know a solution?

The Play and Shuffle buttons in the Music app on iOS work for me, although there is no visual feedback of which of the two was selected. Bad design maybe, but functional. The Play button starts the album and plays in order. Shuffle doesn’t seem to be an on/off function here, but more like a shuffle-to-a-new-track button. I don’t believe the coloring of the button to be a software bug relating to your other issue, as then it would have applied to everyone.
I am having the same issue for the last couple of weeks. Also have iOS 11.4.1 This has NEVER happened before. I have deleted and reinstalled the music apple (didn't work), then reset all settings (didn't work), then did a complete erase, reset and restore from iCloud backup (didn't work). Nothing works. Music continues to "shuffle" and the play and shuffle button make no difference and don't even show that they are selected. Very frustrating! Called apple support and they have no ideas whatsoever. Grrrr!
Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the Play button shuffles the tracks as well, instead of playing them in order. I've tried manually selecting tracks, but that still results in them shuffling.
All of the troubleshooting articles I've seen from Apple show the Shuffle button turning red when selected, so I figured that was an issue as well.
I'm wondering whether I should just delete the Music app and reinstall it but I'm a bit wary as to what data gets deleted when I do that.

Since your attempts to delete and restore the app haven't made any difference I won't bother, as it sounds like I'll lose all my settings for nothing.
Hopefully Apple will issue a bug patch soon, as it's become really annoying for me.
