How to take off ‘silent when locked’?

My iPhone 10 is silent when locked. incoming calls are silenced. Do not want my phone on ‘silence’ mode when locked.

The Silence: When locked setting found in the Do Not Disturb settings, only applies when do not Disturb is turned on.


If you have Do not Disturb turned on, turn it off.


If Do not Disturb is not turned on, the Silence setting has no effect.


If its still silent, make sure the mute switch is not set to mute, and that the volume is not turned down.
