On-screen pointer for screencast of iPad Pro?
Regular font is context. Bold is the specific question.
I am an educator producing recordings for students. The videos consist of a screencast of my iPad screen, a talking-head video in the bottom right-hand corner, and audio from an external mic.
I have managed to get everything to come together using minimal software; however, I have not found a viable solution to indicating where I am pointing on the iPad screen, without having to actually mark up the PDF I'm working on (which is not a viable option, as it is both distracting and crowds the actual content that I do want to write).
I know that it is possible to use the "AssisitiveTouch" option under Accessibility; however, the resulting square is distracting, large and cumbersome (plus it just doesn't look very professional) -- so this is not a viable option for me (I am developing the content as a contractor, so the standards are higher than what I could settle for myself).
Are any of the following a possibility?:
Specifically, the other tools I need are:
Including graphics and additional markup tools (like auto-straightening lines or inserting objects) would be a great bonus, but are less important than having a pointer.
If you are familiar with the Microsoft Surface, the small dot that appears when you approach the stylus to the screen is exactly the kind of functionality I'm looking for. I'm not comfortable using Window's products, and everything else I own is Apple (so it's not straightforward working between the two), but if I can't find a solution for the pointer, I'll be stuck using a Surface, instead 😟
FYI: I have already submitted a feature request to Apple through the official channels.
Thank you kindly for your time and help.
Kind regards,
