My Google search results have a format problem in Safari. The pages load as an unadjustable narrow strip on the left side of the page, and the line spacing is wrong so that some lines overlap vertically. This problem only occurs in Safari (not Firefox or Chrome) and only for Google search.
Newish iMac running OSX 10.13.6

Thanks Eric for pointing me in the right direction, I've had this problem for weeks.
So I tried unsetting minimum font size. Now search results were absolutely tiny, but still narrow to the left. So I went to View Actual Size and mirabile dictu the whole problem has gone away.
Safari/Preferences/Advanced and make sure Never use font sizes smaller than is not checked.
Safari doesn't load a page or webpage items are missing
