Can you block texts from unknown numbers

I’m getting texts from random numbers that are from a man who is stalking me. I block every number, but he keeps using a new number to send from. The messages show with my regular messages even though I have the ’filter unknown senders’ on. How can I stop the messages from random numbers coming in with the regular messages and inste go to the ‘unknown sender’ folder without notifying me they’re there?

You can only block specific numbers, not random numbers. You should file a police report, and save the messages as evidence.

If they are iMessages (not SMS [text] messages) you can go to Settings/Messages, scroll down to Unknown & Spam and turn on Filter Unknown Senders. This will not stop them, but it will put them in a separate list.

I do have the filter on and I have called the police. It was suggested that I go to the court house and explain to a judge why I want a civil protection order ... no guarantees and I’d have to take PTO to do so.

It’d be nice if we could just block unknown numbers from messaging.

The filter isn’t putting them in the unknown messages. For some reason they all go to the main folder.
