Can’t add downloaded music to Clips

Hello,

I have a problem with the Clips app on my Iphone. I can’t add downloaded music (music wich I downloaded in the Apple music app) to a movie.

When I open the Clips app, I choose a video from my library, and I click on the music button in the right upper corner, i click on ‘my music’. Then it should show all the music I have downloaded in the music app so I can add one to my video. Instead, it’s all empty, also my playlists are shown empty. I downloaded all my music to my phone (I can play them in offline mode also) so I don‘t understand why the Clips app doesnt show any song. Can anybody explain to my what I am doing wrong? Thanks a lot!

Thanks again for your answer, you are right about iTunes! I downloaded music in Apple Music, not in iTunes. I just downloaded music from iTunes and now it does work in Clips!

I’m a newbie at Apple and to be honest I thought iTunes and Apple music were connected and kinda the same thing... because I wanted to subscribe iTunes and the app then leaded me to Apple Music. Apparently its not the same thing, now I have something else i’m confused about haha.

That is not an Apple source. The information may not be accurate. I also could be wrong.

The guide for clips does imply you can use your music from your library. That *may* be limited to iTunes but not Apple Music. If your tracks are from Apple Music, that may be the explanation.
