Does a Time Machine backup include my nonpurchased music in iTunes? So that it can be restored, if necessary, along with purchased tunes?

There shouldn't be an issue restoring your media from Time Machine, regardless of source, as long as it has been captured. In your iTunes library you can right-click on any file, use Show in Finder, then enter Time Machine, and explore backups of that folder. You should be able to browse though archives of your media folder on different dates to reassure yourself that the files are there.

The linked article says Time Machine backs up "all your files." That includes all files in the iTunes Media folder.
If you have music files stored somewhere else, say on an external device, they will not be included.

Am familiar with basic concept of TM but aware that nonpurchased music is an issue in other areas (e.g. sync and restore operations). I have thousands of nonpurchased tunes at stake. Correct to assume your confidence level is 99% or better? If so, thanks, appreciate the quick reply.
