how do i convert SD2 Logic sessions to WAV sessions?

hi, let me clarify...

not just the individual files, i need actual functioning duplicate versions of preexisting Logic sessions; channels settings, plugins, etc... but using WAV as the source rather than the existing SD2.

do you have to covert the individual files with an additional program (, then replace the existing SD2 files with the new WAV files in a duplicate session? or is there an easier/more straight forward solution?

worst case i see;

1.duplicating/updating and renaming the session-

2.deleting the source audio from the duplicate media folder-

3.converting/duplicating the SD2 files to WAV files directly into the empty duplicate media folder-

4.new session should open accessing the WAV files, with all session settings correct...

i am pretty sure this method will work but it seems like a proper malarkey and i am hoping somebody has a better solution!!

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

cheers.

Have you tried to look online for a solution? A simple google search returns a ton of links. One of them is this app: Audaptor - Convert Sound Designer 2 Audio Files on the Mac App Store

Note: I'm not familiar with the specifics, so this is just an example of an external app that advertises the functionality you're looking for.

By the way, what's the problem with the SD2 files themselves? Why do you need to convert them?
