Have photos on card in CanonPowerShot SD880 IS Digital Elph.
Camera no longer visible when plugged into USB port.
Want to move the photos into iCloud.
Have you tried using a USB Card Reader? Then import the files to Photos as normal.

Turn on your iCloud Photo Library and they will sync with it. I'll ask this is moved to the correct forum:
Correct, Terrence. Once the camera is connected to the usb port of the Mac, then if you turn Photos on, the pics start to load onto the Mac. I didn't understand that at first. Thank you. Ted
Thank you Terrence. It turns out that I DO have a card reader, in the form of a connector kit for my iPad, which has Photos on it. Your speedy reply was the first. Ted Wilson.
