How do I know my passcode to sign in to send money to Apple Pay?

i thought I had signed up for Apple Pay but it asks for a passcode to add money to Apple Pay from my bank card and I don’t know the passcode.

It should be the same 4 or 6 digit passcode you use to unlock your iPhone.
