My admin account downgraded to a standard account somehow. Anyway to make it an admin account again?

If I go to system preferences and click the lock to make changes, the pop up asks for an admin username and password. Since there is no admin, I don't know what to do. I only have have one user account and have never had any other.

I've had my disk wiped once when I entered recovery mode trying to set this right. Is there any way I can still update my account to admin? If not, any other ideas?
