Apple Product Replacement policy in India

I recently bought a MacBook Pro 2018 from iWorld Kamla Nagar (Apple Premium Reseller). Due to the extremely stiff hinges, I thought it best to get it replaced. Within 15 days, I got a worksheet from the service centre (B2X Netaji Subhash Place) saying that the hinges are extremely stiff. They asked me to approach the reseller along with the worksheet and laptop and demand a replacement. When I approached the reseller, he refused to accept my laptop back or issue to me a new one. I call Apple Customer Care and am told that because I bought the product from reseller, Apple can’t help with the replacement. In India, there are only authorized resellers. Apple does not sell directly. What should I do now ?

At your reseller you can ask for management and escalate up the chain of command, your only recourse.


Otherwise there is no resolve here.
