Move comments in Pages?

Is it possible to move or reattach a comment to a different word? Or keep a comment after deleting the associated text? I run into this problem all the time.

You cannot move a comment between words, in the context of deassigning it from one word to a new word, but you can select the commented word, and copy/paste the same comment, and comment text onto a new word, where you can change the comment text as appropriate for its new home. Then on the original comment, you can choose delete in the comment bubble to remove its comment.
