Satechi USB C hub and 2018 MacBook Pro problems

I purchased a Satechi hub and it's causing all kinds of glitches on my 2018 MacBook Pro.

I asked for a refund or replacement and the company refused to do either I'm highly disappointed with this thing, I wasted my money.

Anybody else having these issues and possibly found a work around or a fix.

The screen picture and mouse movements become very glitchy when I plug the Satechi in.

Well, they make lots of hubs and docks and you didn't mention which one you owned, but if there is firmware in yours that was compatible but isn't now they may not have a method to update the firmware. Unfortunately hardware/software changes can make a third-party obsolete.

Just to clarify, were you saying that all you need to do is plug it into your Mac without any devices plugged into it?

It’s actually about a year old, worked well with my 2017, but no good on 2018. Satechi did not offer any help or provide any updates that might fix this problem. I feel like they said “oh well, too bad, not our problem”

I’m surprised that I’m the only one with this problem. It’s happened on multiple machines, I actually replaced the Mac as Apple couldn’t find any reason why this would happen.
