Save as Original option not available after editing video on iPhone
Video files are HUGE, and your phone is small. If you have non-trivial editing to do, move the Video to a computer with a disk drive, and work there.
The tools on a Mac computer work very similarly, but you can save the original, because there is enough disk space to store it.
Most of what I do is trimming the ends of videos to keep only the part I need and to make the file size smaller. It doesn’t make sense to save it as a new clip because now I have a duplicate I don’t need that take up more space That I will have to then delete it and then delete from the recently deleted folder to free up the space.
I used to be able to do it and save over original file on my iPhone. It seems that this happened after update to the latest iOS. I hope there is a way to get it back. What I need to do with the video is not worth moving it to a computer (I have a PC)
When I edit video on my iPhone the save as original option is no longer there. Now I can only save it as a new clip. How do I get it back?
