Scale transform property or spatial conform bug???

I have noticed what I think is a bug with either scale transform property or spatial conform. Maybe someone has come across this and can help. I have edited 3840 x 2160p footage into a 1920 x 1080p project. I also have some jpg stills edited in the same project. When I initially edited them into the project, spatial conform was (as a default, never changed it) set to fit. The scale transform value showed 100% even though it is 4k footage, which is normal. I then edited one of the still images master files in Photoshop. I figured I could edit the file, save it and the new file would be updated in FCPX since the file name and location were the same. The problem is that now, all of the clips edited into the project are giant and oversized like spatial conform is no longer working. If I set spatial conform to none, I have to resize all the clips to 50%. If it's set to fit or fill, nothing is happening... it's not conforming anymore.

Please help as I have about 49 projects I edited and this problem has appeared in all 49. I had to replace the master jpg's due to the client changing their logo. This problem happened last year but it was only in one project and I ignored it thinking maybe I did something.

I'm using FCPX 10.4.3 and my new MBP is fully updated

Are the projects set to drop frame? It's better if they are for 29.97.

I tried to reproduce the spatial conform problem using your specs and resizing the canvas, but it did not affect the 4K video when the content was on the primary storyline. However, when the video content was in secondary storylines, I could reproduce the problem. Clips on the primary storyline were not changed, even when the secondaries were resized. The problem also doesn't occur if the clips are simply connected clips, only when they're inside a secondary storyline. I suspect it has to do with the way of the size of that container is specified in the application.

You should report the problem to feedback, perhaps with a link to this thread.
