Wireless Keyboard - iMac 24-in Early 2009

Hello out there, I'm running OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6 for my iMac. I'm experiencing a frustration situation that none of the threads specifically address.

As I type for even a few minutes, or hours long the keyboard loses connection with the last keystroke and it literally will insert returns or spaces until it splashes a prompt Connection Lost displaying the Keyboard. Then within a few seconds (literally) it'll prompt Connected - and away I continue.

That is ... until it becomes disconnected - connected.

Please someone, anyone, assist me with this frustrating experience.

Cheers,

Carlos

Get a USB keyboard and mouse temporarily. Then Open System Preferences - Bluetooth and unpair both the mouse and keyboard, then turn off Blue Tooth. Then restart in Safe Mode per the directions in Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support and next restart normally. The turn Bluetooth back on and re-pair both your mouse and keyboard and test.
