My iMac desktop won't start up. It has a disk mounted in it. How do I eject the disk?
iMac (20-inch Early 2008), Mac OS X (10.6.8)
On the oldschool macs there used to be a tiny hole you could stick an unfolded paperclip in that would force eject a cd. not sure if it is still a feature on new models. My macbook doesn't have a disc drive so couldn't say for sure but worth a look

It is not.
Drag the disc icon to the Trash. it should eject automatically.

What happens when you try? Is there any activity? If there is hold down the mouse button while trying to start up the Mac. That can eject any disk in the drive.
