I am receiving international sms charges that I have never made
I have an Iphone 7 with the latest software update. My telco assumes I am making the texts but I am not. Have I been hacked??

No, it is send in the background to make connection and is not recorded in your normal Messages app but your telco (or your bill) can tell you which number it uses.
Is this number# 00447786205094 used?
The number is Apple iMessage & FaceTime activation server in England.

Apple uses an International SMS to activate your phone number with iMessage server.
Apple supported carriers waived the charges, like mine I don't get any charges using iMessage.
Some carrier nickel & dime their customers with cheap plan but charges any extras.
Have a chat with your carrier and ask, they can tell you why.
You need to contact your carrier and let them know. Also try switching off imessage. Possibly restart phone/restore phone.
Sorry, I am also in Australia and I iMessage to lots to foreign countries in Asia, Europe and U.S.
FYI, Apple do not charge International SMS, all charges are from you telco.
I dont understand what you mean, I am sorry. I did not text the reported number that is stated on my phone bill. There is no saved messages in my sent folder on my phone to the number in question so how is this possible. I am being charged for sms to an international number
I appreciate you trying ro help but I dont understand what you are trying to tell me. I am totally confused now as to why I am all of a sudden receiving one sms charge of 50c per month to an international number. Worried it could escalate to more costs. I havent changed a thing, I have perfect phone reception. I am just going to turn it imessages off, hooefully problem solved.
Is this a change that has happened recently as I have only just started receiving these charges
No, it is always that way, maybe you should talk to your provider and ask why.
Had the same phone number, and telco account for years and have never seen these charges. Any suggestions as to what I may have done thats caused these charges
So if these are imessages that I am sending, wouldnt they be saved in my messages? I habe gone through all my sent measages an none are on the days that my bill states.
No its a number in Miami Florida 13213513378
Sorry I have no idea why that number is used, where are you from?
Make sure that you’re connected to a cellular data or Wi-Fi network. If you're using an iPhone, you need SMS messaging to activate your phone number with iMessage and FaceTime. Depending on your carrier, you might be charged for this SMS.
From: If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime - Apple Support
No.
iMessage uses international text to Apple server to verify you.
iPhone supported carriers waived the charges. Talk to them or switch iMessage off.
Australia. Spoke to my carrier and they say imessages do not appear on phone account but rather charged by apple
