90 degree right angle Lightning-Lightning adapter or extension (male to female)

A while back, Daz asked on this forum about a right-angled male-female Lightning extension cable for using a plug-in mic while his iPhone was on a gimbal. That topic is unfortunately closed now, so I must start a new thread.

Earlier this year I was looking for exactly the same thing—not only to protect the mic cable from damage but to minimize the distance between the bottom of the phone and the gimbal, for balance. There are plenty of right-angled Lightning-to-USB cables, but no extension cables or adapters that go Lightning-to-Lightning (M/F).

Now, before someone chimes in with “buy a Bluetooth mic,” I have a binaural mic that is Lightning only, and that is the mic I need for this scenario.

In February, I ordered and tried this Tessin Adapter (see photo below) because it looked almost perfect (especially the tight right angled form factor) but unfortunately it splits out the audio and power functions into two separate Lightning jacks, and neither works with my Lightning mic.

If only the people that manufactured that adapter could make a more simplistic version that kept the similar tight-angled form factor (as an “el” and not a “tee”), simply passing all the pins through to one female Lightning port—or, if not an adapter, at least a short extension cable with a similarly close right angle. I’ve scoured eBay and the Chinese sites, too, with no luck. I’m sure there’s enough aggregate demand out there for some upstart manufacturer to spec this out—but I wouldn’t know where to begin.

Whatever it is, it should fit tight and flush with the bottom of the phone. Of all the 90° cables out there, there is quite a variety, and some are just too long (photo examples below). Any thoughts?
