My Mac is slow and I saw a post on here telling me to run EtreCheck and paste the report. I just did that and need helping in resolving my issue!

Cleanmymac is malware. Any software by amc, macpaw, zeobit, or any mac cleaning software is malware. The one exception is Piriform CC Cleaner, which has a very good software removal tool. But you should be backing up your software before installing any system optimization tools. Get someone to do a thorough malware removal who knows malware on the Mac.


You have an encrypted hard drive. Automatic encryption of File Vault can slow things down if they are taken drive wide.


ExpressVPN is a software that allows someone else to take control of your machine, or you to take control of another machine. Get that removed. If you must use software like that, Teamviewer is not as obtrusive, and gives you more control over when people take control of your machine.
