You're using quite an outdated version of iTunes. The current support documents don't contain additional details for older builds. You should be able to reveal the menu bar temporarily with the Alt key or show/hide it with Ctrl-B.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. When reinstalling right click on the downloaded setup file and use run as administrator. It may also help to temporarily disable any non-Microsoft anti-virus.

Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.

The further information area has direct links to the current and recent builds in case you have problems downloading, or want to revert to an older version if the current one won't work properly for you at the moment.

Your library and device backups should be unaffected by these steps but there are links to backup and recovery advice should it be needed.

Greetings, winstonfromcarseldine.

It appears that the menu bar in iTunes for Windows on your PC has disappeared and you'd like it back. I'm happy to help.

iTunes for Windows: Customize the iTunes window -- In the very upper-left corner of the iTunes application is the window icon. Selecting that will display an options menu. Select "Show Menu Bar". This article also includes other customizations for iTunes for Windows.

Take care!

Thanks to the 2 kind people who replied to my question about my missing menu bar in itunes

1 First of all my apology for giving the wrong version it is not 12.3 but it is 12.8.0.150

2 The link sent was not helpful as that link is for all older versions of iTunes as told to me by Apple Care

3 So unfortunately my problem still exists and Apple care could not help me
