Ipad Mini-Won't Restore

I have an Ipad Mini (2015) that I received from work. I have forgotten my password for the IPaD and am trying to due a restore via Itunes. I've walked through every step of the restore process from this forum and several others.


1) Power down Ipad

2) Hold Home button and plug into computer- Ipad just reboots normally and then tells me it is disabled for 15 minutes.


The device does have some level of MDM on it so could this be causing the problem?

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

I really didn't pickup from your first post that you have tried all of the ways to erase the device. I just read the specific steps that you posted and offered the support article in case you hadn't tried recovery mode as spelled out in the article.


As far as I know, the MDM shouldn't prevent you from being able to restore the device. If you have tried all of the Apple recommended ways to restore, you should probably contact Apple for help now. If you live near an Apple store, you can make an appointment and get help at a Genius Bar.


I've been a Steeler's fan since Joe Greene was drafted. I bleed Black and Gold as we like to say here in the 'Burgh. 🙂

The problem of the iPad is not only happening in the iPad but also in the iPhone and MAC. Forgetting the password always make the person irritates as they cannot log in into the particular account. If have the similar problem then go to https://hpsupports.co/hp-support-assistant/ because the same issues have happened with me on my HP device and I also forgot the password then.
