Editing RAW format images in Photos

I am shooting pictures in RAW Format on my Olympus Tough TG-5 camera. When I download them into Photos and try to edit using the RAW image as original - selected from the Image Menu - I get the message that Photos cannot process or does not recognize the RAW image. Why? I am using OS X Yosemite ver. 10.10.5, Photos ver. 1.0.1 (215.65.0) with the brand new Olympus Tough TG-5 Camera.

The TG-5 RAW files are not supported, and I doubt that they ever will. You will need to use the Olympus software or another third party like LightRoom.
